Wedding banquets
Wedding banquet seating, not a spreadsheet nightmare.
Guests RSVP with how many they're bringing, you seat them into tables on your venue's floor plan, and staff record who actually showed up and any gifts at the door. Built for the multi-table banquet format of a typical Chinese wedding dinner in Malaysia.
Headcount in, table seating out.
Each guest declares how many they're bringing when they RSVP, so a family's full headcount counts toward the table they end up at, not just the one person who replied. Bulk-generate every table at once, then drag confirmed guests onto them. Upload your venue's floor plan and place each table's pin where it actually sits in the room.
- Pax field on RSVP: guests declare their full headcount
- Bulk-generate tables (Table 1 through Table 20) in one go
- Drag-and-drop seating with a capacity per table
- Upload a floor plan and pin each table to its real spot
- Guests see their own table highlighted on the map after RSVP
Know who came, and what they brought.
Scan each guest's QR code at the door from any phone. Add your own check-in questions, actual headcount attending, whether a gift or ang pow was given, a remark for the couple, and staff fill them in right at the scan. It's a separate set of questions from what you asked at RSVP, collected specifically on the day.
- QR check-in at the door, from any team member's phone
- Custom check-in questions: actual pax, gift given, remarks
- Live headcount as tables check in across the venue
- Per-scan attribution: who checked in whom
Wedding banquets on Joinlah, answered.
Can guests tell us how many people they're bringing?
Yes. Turn on pax at RSVP and each guest states their full headcount, not just their own name. That number counts toward both event capacity and whichever table they end up seated at, so a family of five reserves five seats, not one.
How do we seat guests into tables?
Once RSVPs come in, create your tables (bulk-generate Table 1 through Table 20 in one go, or add them one at a time), then drag confirmed guests onto whichever table they're seated at. Each table can have its own seat capacity, and the running headcount updates as you assign.
Can we show guests exactly where their table is?
Yes. Upload your venue's floor plan and drag each table's pin onto its real position in the room. Once a guest's table has a pin placed, their own confirmation page shows their table name highlighted right on the map, no need for a printed seating chart at the door.
How does check-in work for a banquet with hundreds of guests?
Scan each guest's QR code from any phone at the door, same as any Joinlah event. Multiple team members can scan at once and the count updates live, so you always know how many tables have arrived.
Can we record how many people actually showed up and whether they brought a gift?
Yes. Add your own check-in questions, like actual headcount attending, whether a gift or ang pow was given, or a free-text remark, and staff fill them in right when they scan the guest's QR code. It's a different, more detailed set of questions than what you asked at RSVP, collected specifically at the door.
Is this free for a wedding?
You can collect RSVPs, seat tables, and check guests in for free. Paid plans raise the attendee limit for larger banquets. See the pricing page for current numbers.
